We are all looking forward to the launch of the 2015 Kia Soul EV in the third quarter of this year. This new electric Kia vehicle is going to take America by storm. And if you’re not excited yet Kia is taking steps to help you get excited! Keep reading for more information.

It was announced earlier this month that in preparation of the Kia Soul EV arriving, Kia would be adding 17 new DC fast chargers in California. The area already has 198 and there are plans to increase that by nine percent state-wide by the end of the year.

Kia has partnered with Greenlots to offer this charging flexibility. Kia Souls EV owners will receive a “Kia ChargeUp Card” which will give them access to DC fast chargers via Greenlots SKY network system. Kia owners can easily find a charging station through the Kia UVO telematics app on their phone or in the car.

“The Soul EV is a key vehicle within Kia’s ‘Clean Mobility’ program, and having access to Level 2 and an increased number of DC fast chargers at select Kia dealerships is an opportunity for us to provide value to Soul EV owners, signaling Kia’s commitment to the growing EV market,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA.  “Our customers are making a sincere effort to be eco-conscious, and Kia is committed to delivering both flexible and convenient charging options to Soul EV owners.”
