The Kia brand just celebrated the best first half-year performance in company history and kept the momentum going into July! This past month was the best ever July sales for the brand, with a total of 59,969 units sold, up 6.5 percent over July 2015. Want to know more? Keep reading for more additional information.
There were quite a few vehicles that contributed to the sales success this past month. The 2017 Kia Forte family of vehicles had their highest July sales, totaling 10,303 units. This is a 31 percent increase over July 2015. The 2016 Kia Sportage also had its highest July sales, increasing by 53 percent over July 2015 and selling 8,111 units. The 2016 Kia Rio saw a 50 percent increase in sales over July 2015, selling 3,331 units during the past month.
“Showroom traffic and sales have shot up over the last six weeks since J.D. Power recognized Kia as the highest scoring nameplate in the industry for initial quality and bestowed four APEAL awards to our world-class offerings in some of the largest and most competitive segments,” said Michael Sprague, chief operating officer and EVP, KMA. “With the market cooling and customers looking for smart choices, these recent accolades reflect the satisfaction of our owners – many of whom are new to the Kia brand – and help strengthen our position as so much more than simply a value leader.”
