The 2017 Kia Cadenza made its world debut at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. Kia is especially proud of improvements like a precisely crafted cabin, new and innovative technology for connectivity and driver assistance, a stronger body structure, and powertrain enhancements. This is the second generation of the Kia Cadenza. Powering this vehicle is a 3.3-liter V6 engine that is combined with the first ever Kia FWD-based eight-speed automatic transmission and produces an estimated 290 horsepower. Its body structure is composed of 50 percent Advanced High Strength Steel (or AHSS for short). Some of the technology included in this vehicle are the new Head Up Display that shows important information on the windshield of the vehicle for the driver. There is also an improves Surround View Monitor, Smart Trunk, and the Kia UVO system that features Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker Harman/Kardon system with ClariFi music. Driver assistance features include Advanced Smart Cruise Control with stop-and-go functionality, Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Lane Departure Warning.
“The new Cadenza adds an extra dose of excitement to the large-car segment with its striking, aggressively handsome looks and premium refinements,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, Kia Motors America. “Everything you see and touch in the Cadenza’s cabin has been improved, but it’s underneath where the Cadenza truly shines with a stiffer and lighter chassis, eight-speed transmission and vastly improved driving dynamics.”
