Last week we talked about the 2014 Kia Sedona, and this week, details were released about the 2015 version. The New York Auto Show always comes with surprises and announcements we’ve all been waiting for. Kia gave us just what we wanted! So what does this mean for the 2015 Kia Sedona? We have a few highlights we can share.
The 2015 Kia Sedona will still be able to fit 7 or 8 depending on the configuration, but don’t worry there is space for everyone. This vehicle is actually at the top of its class in some of the space categories, including leg room.
Safety is also a top priority for the 2014 Kia Sedona. This time around the chassis is 36 percent stiffer thanks to the 76 percent high-strength steel. Crash testing has yet to be done but with a stiff body like this, the reports are expected to be great.
Another test of strength is the engine that powers the vehicles. Under the hood of the 2015 Kia Sedona will be a 3.3-liter V6 engine with a six-speed automatic transmission that will produce 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.
There’s new technology as well! 2015 Kia Sedona drivers can expect to see the new UVO Kia app store that will have extras for the Apple and Google ecosystems.
The 2015 Kia Sedona can be expected on lots in the late-third/early-fourth quarter of this year.
