Kia is proud to announce they celebrated their best-ever May sales! They sold a total of 62,926 units, a slight overall increase– .09 percent to be exact. This is the fourth monthly sales record Kia has seen in the past five months! Year-to-date sales are up by 3.5 percent. Want to know more about which Kia vehicle sold the best in May? The 2016 Kia Sportage had the highest single-month total in company history during the month of May. This vehicle sold 8,568 units and increased sales by 91 percent when compared to the 4,487 units sold in May 2015.
The 2016 Kia Sorento also saw a sales increase in May. This vehicle sold 11,914 units and increased units sold by 11 percent when compared to May 2015.
“Our popular ‘Summer’s On Us’ sales event generated significant showroom traffic, and we reached new heights in May despite two fewer selling days this year and an overall slowing of sales seen throughout the industry,” said Michael Sprague, chief operating officer and EVP, KMA. “With the all-new Sportage attracting more customers than ever before, and the return of our music-loving hamsters in a new campaign for the Soul, we are confident customers will continue to discover all that the ‘New Kia’ has to offer.”
