Anniversaries are always special events, and when an anniversary coincides with another landmark event, then you’re in for an extra special treat.
2014 marks twenty years in the U.S. market for Kia Motors America, and Kia also recently announced sales figures for 2013, reaching the company’s second-highest sales numbers in history — a great 20th anniversary accomplishment, to be sure.
Kia sold 535,179 vehicles in 2013, with the 2014 Kia Optima taking the top spot as the company’s best-seller for the second year in a row. The 2014 Kia Optima, which is built in the U.S., set a record for the company with sales of 155,893 vehicles during 2013, a gain of more than two percent compared to 2012.
During the past year Kia has delivered several all-new or redesigned vehicles, including the all-new 2014 Kia Soul, which arrived in Kia showrooms during the fourth quarter of 2013. The stylish and unique urban passenger vehicle tallied sales of 118,079 during 2013, up almost two percent compared to 2012.
There’s even more good news for Folsom Lake, Roseville, and Sacramento drivers. Big plans are in the works for 2014: Kia plans to introduce an all-new, all-electric vehicle later in the year, and an all-new Kia minivan is on the way. Kia plans to introduce an all-new flagship, rear-wheel drive luxury performance sedan as well — the 2015 Kia K900, which recently made its debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show and is expected to arrive in Kia showrooms in the spring.
Kia is on a roll again, and in the company’s 20th anniversary year in the U.S. market, 2014 promises to be even better. So if you’re looking for a Kia for sale near Roseville, be sure to visit Folsom Lake Kia to test drive a new Kia model and celebrate!
