Performance Upgrades
The biggest performance boost is the addition of a 2.5-liter turbo-four engine, replacing the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the outgoing model. The result is a 45 hp boost, totaling 300 hp.
Consumers also have the option to upgrade to an even more robust 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers 368 hp. This engine variant includes the addition of a new variable exhaust system. This engine upgrade also enables acceleration from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, compared to 5.2 seconds with the standard 2.5-liter engine.
Both engine types are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers smooth automatic shifts. When you switch to manual mode, shifting is equally smooth and feels like a seamless transition between gears.
Finally, with an all-wheel-drive powertrain and torque vectoring, the sedan is incredibly responsive and nimble for better launch and handling.
2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Edition
Also available in limited edition is a special trim known as the Kia Stinger Scorpion, and it has all the hallmarks of a sports car. This includes glossy black exhaust tips, a rear spoiler, black mirrors, and 19-inch black wheels. The interior is fitted with your choice of black Nappa or red Nappa leather as well as a carbon fiber-pattern trim that graces the cockpit interior.
