The 2022 Kia Sorento is now available in dealerships. This model year sees a number of changes and upgrades from the outgoing model, especially in the interior. Learn what’s new in the areas of infotainment, seating, and cargo capacity.

Infotainment

An eight-inch touchscreen comes standard with an option to upgrade to a 10.3-inch touchscreen display. Alongside the touchscreen is a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. A few other amenities that are optional include a rear-seat entertainment system, which you can amplify with a 12-speaker Bose Centerpoint Audio System. With the purchase of the SUV also comes a one-year complimentary service of Kia Connect Ultimate. With it comes features like vehicle voice control, remote lock/unlock, and remote start.

Seating and Cargo

The Kia Sorento is a three-row SUV that seats up to seven occupants. The third-row seat is foldable for increasing cargo space.  The standard second-row seats can be swapped out for an optional pair of captain’s chairs.

In the rear storage area is a dual-level cargo floor capable of holding taller freight as well as conceal smaller items. The rear can be conveniently accessed through a Smart Power Liftgate, available as a premium add-on.

Safety

The 2022 Kia Sorento is fitted with Smart Airbags in the cabin. The degree of inflation is based on the force of the impact. If there are infants or toddlers riding along, keep them safe in their child seat through an intuitive and easy to set up LATCH system.
