The Kia brand is excited to announce that Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com has listed the 2017 Kia Soul as one of the 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000. Want to know more about this vehicle and this list? Keep reading for additional information.
The 10 Coolest Cars list features “fun to drive and fun to own” vehicles. Kelley Blue Book editors chose the Kia Soul because of the unique combination of technology, design features, content and excellent value. “The Kia Soul continues to find a spot on our list of 10 Coolest Cars under $18,000, because it delivers so much personality and versatility for the money,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director for Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com. “In fact, there are very few vehicles we can think of that offer more usable interior space, features and sheer presence for the money than the Kia Soul.”
This is the sixth consecutive year that the Kia Soul has been chosen for this award. “It’s exciting to see that the [Kia] Soul continues to be recognized as the stand-out vehicle it is,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning, Kia Motors America.
For 2017 the Kia brand added a new turbocharged model. The vehicle is available in three trim levels – the base, the Plus (+) and the Exclaim (!). The base trim comes with a gasoline direct injection 1.6-liter all-aluminum DOHC four-cylinder engine that produces 130 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. Consumers can choose a manual or automatic 6-speed transmission.
