This honor is the highest rating that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives to vehicles. To earn this honor, vehicles must pass all five crashworthiness tests (small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side impact, roof strength and head restraints) with a top rating of “Good”, pass new headlamp testing and have Autonomous Emergency Braking integration.
The 2017 Kia Optima comes with available driver assistance systems like Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Parking Assist System, Front Collision Warning System, Lane Departure Warning System and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
