The Kia brand recently released information on the new Kia Soul Exclaim. It made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and we can’t wait to see it on our lot! Want to know more about what you can expect from this vehicle? Keep reading for additional information.

“We wanted to provide loyal Kia Soul lovers and new buyers a sportier option,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning KMA. “The 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim with its turbocharged engine gives the car’s fans another wonderful choice from an already wonderful line-up.”

So let’s talk first about the new turbocharged engine. The 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim add a 1.6-liter turbo engine that kicks out 201 horsepower, an increase of 40 horsepower over last year. The Kia Soul base model will come with a 1.6-liter engine that will produce 130 horsepower, and the Kia Soul Plus will come with a 2.0-liter engine that produces 161 horsepower. The new engine is further enhanced with the addition of the new 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).

But the Kia brand wanted to make your ride in the Kia Soul Exclaim even sportier. So, they added features like exclusive 18-inch wheels; red-accented body trim; chrome grille surround, unique Soul tailgate badge; and, for the first time on Kia Soul, dual chrome twin-tip exhaust. The Kia brand also makes systems like the Rear Cross Traffic Alert and the Blind Spot Detection available on this trim.
